1:26p ups & downs.
fuck, i seriously need a job - edit: i just got a part time low paying job at the dog groomer across the street. i start tuesday. i need to get a higher paying job when i can. i need to be a better slave. i need to push past my agoraphobia and go to all the specialty food markets He wants His food from. i need to make breakfast, to-go lunches and dinner & not ask Him what He wants, just do it. i need to say "yes Sir" to everything. i need to not interrupt Him when He speaks. i need to not argue everything He says. when a woman in the supermarket parking lot flips me off i need to sit quietly in the car and take it. i need to make it so He has more time to focus on bringing home the soy bacon. "the man makes the home. the woman sets the tone."
these are the things He wants.

1:00p 4.75 bus pass
I've seen a couple of these posts going around, but I have a $4.75 metro pass, good till January 2009 that I would like to sell for about $150 bucks (negotiable)
Unlimited use for up to $4.75 a trip. I had a bus driver tell me that it is gold. Anyone interested?
EDIT: Sold!

8:39a AKICILJ: need contact info for John Bradley
Sorry to come tripping through here...but I'm trying to find contact info for John Bradley, former San Franscico Bay Area fan, now Seattle Area fan. At Westercon, he asked to be notified when SMOF Racing's horse, Cara Blanco, would be running next. Well, that's this Sunday in the 2nd at Emerald Downs. He wanted to be able to go take pictures.
If anyone has a way to reach him, could you please either point him to this post, galtine1, or cara_blanco?
Greatly appreciated.

1:23a In search of a certain liquor..
Does anyone know where I can find Boodles? It's a British gin and the best I've had. I've "google-d" and checked website I usually buy it from but can't find any.
TIA.

12:49a Capitol Hill Armageddon
Come on! The "do you know what's going on on the corner of [street] and [street]?!!" posts never get old!
So does anyone know what's going on on the corner of 12th and Union? Holy crap, there are like 15 police cars. And the 911 real time scanner is failing me right now, as the hullabaloo seems to have started before midnight. Boo.
I'm not just rubbernecking here. THIS IS POTENTIALLY RELEVANT TO MY SAFETY.

11:37p Anybody want a cat?
I saw this in tacoma and thought I'd repost it here...
The Kitsap Humane Society is over run with cats! This is no joke. For the time being they are waving the $125 adoption fee for adult cats, in an effort to get them homes quickly, instead of having to euthanize all the overflow. Please, if you've been thinking about getting a new family member, now is the time.

10:48p A good Seattle review...
This is a wonderful review: http://travel.nytimes.com/2008/01/18/travel/escapes/18urban-seattle.html?fta=y
I loved what it had to say about about Seattle and book sales:
"Next up is the nearby (and locally cherished) Elliott Bay Book Company — 25,000 square feet of creaky wood floors. Some combination of relentless rain and Elliott Bay books may explain why Seattle has one of the country’s highest per capita rates of book purchasing."

From their website:
Located in the heart of the historic Pioneer Square District, Seattle's original business neighborhood, The Elliott Bay Book Company is home to over 150,000 titles, set on cedar shelves in a series of inviting, exposed-brick walled rooms. http://www.elliottbaybook.com/about/index.jsp

can anyone confirm this or should i collect my $10 bet money now? :)

1:58p Cell and Wifi signal in the Convention Center?
For those of us who are a bit too tightly tied to our jobs, can someone speak authoritatively about (GSM) cell signal in the convention center?
Also, is Wifi access available? Purchasing it is fine by me as long as the pricing is reasonable.

3:30p Good/interesting places to find graffiti in Seattle?
I'm doing a photoshoot on sunday, and I'd like to find some interesting backgrounds with graffiti on them in the downtown-ish area. We'll be down at the Market area, and hoping to avoid the crowds from the Bite of Seattle.
I'm looking for something like this. Any ideas on where to go? Thanks!
